I have used Avast, and it supposely has real time protection, but it have found viruses only with a full scan. So, there's goes the real time protection. But's free, what the heck should I complain about?

I'm on AVG Free still - old habits and all that. How do you find Avast compared to AVG (if you've used AVG of course?!)

AVG is pretty good, it has option that Avast doesn't. The only problem with AVG is that the free version is downgraded (is that even a word?). The lastest version of AVG is not free. The lastest version of Avast Home Edition is free, and supports Win2k. I don't know if AVG supports Win2k.

I will check Avast out. Have always got on with Kaspersky, except it isn't cheap and I do hate paying for software...

Here's a good post on Lifehacker.com that you might find interesting.

Also, if you do a search on the site for "antivirus" you'll find some great posts about it.

I've always had good luck with the AVG freebie.

Found the 'Microsoft Slashes 91% off Office Ultimate' - anyone know how to obtain an @edu email address without going to university?!
