Firefox SandBox is a place where the extensions gets reviewed and tested before they are released to the public Mozilla site. It can be accessed by anyone with an account on Mozilla.
First register an account.

Login to Firefox Addons
Go to Account Options and tick the Show Sandbox? box

| ben76213 | Feb 24, 11:31am | | Just showing how it works :P The main point is that you can view addons before they get released on the Firefox Addons site. This is quite unknown, as Mozilla pretty much hides this. As well, you can help addons to get approved for the Public Addons site, At your own risk.. :D |

I was an UMO[1] reviewer before the sandbox update. We were a limited group of users testing extensions from a list before approving their release to the public. I wasn't an easy job. Those were the day. These are the last remains of those times:
wiki.mozilla.org/Special:Search [wiki.mozilla.org/Special:Search]
Now anyone can approve an extension. Thank Gawd for that!
